The Poldi Pezzoli Museum is participating in European Heritage Days with admission priced at 3 euros. This is an opportunity to visit the newly restored Golden Room.
The theme of the 2026 European Heritage Days is “Protecting Heritage: Renew, Resist, Reinvent.” The Poldi Pezzoli Museum illustrates this theme with a concrete example: the restoration of the Salone Dorato, which has just reopened after a year and a half of renovations.
The Salone Dorato has just reopened after a year and a half of restoration work: the large marble and bronze window, hidden for fifty years beneath a false ceiling installed in the 1970s, is now fully visible once again. This restoration project, carried out with the support of the World Monuments Fund, embodies exactly what the European Heritage Days celebrate each year: the choice to protect, to not let go, and to return to the public what seemed lost.
Throughout the weekend, the museum is opening its doors to everyone for 3 euros.

Museo Poldi Pezzoli
Nel centro di Milano, a pochi passi dal Duomo e dal Teatro alla Scala, il museo Poldi Pezzoli vi aspetta! Inaugurato nel 1881, era la casa del nobile milanese Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli (1822-1879). Appassionato collezionista d’arte, vi aveva raccolto non solo dipinti, ma anche sculture, tappeti, pizzi, armi e armature, oreficerie, orologi, porcellane e vetri.
