The Poldi Pezzoli has an antique library and a modern one.
Ancient Library

The library of Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli, located in the Museum’s spaces, consists of 3500 volumes from the 15th to the 19th century, including 4 manuscripts, 33 incunabula and 623 cinquecentine.
The cinquecentine have been cataloged by the Central Institute of the Single Catalogue – EDIT project 16. To view the holdings owned by the Museum use the search mask by title, then enter the code “MI1354” in the “Location” field.

The library catalog, devoted to medieval and modern art and the Museum’s collections, can be viewed online on Polo Regionale Lombardo.

Poldi Pezzoli Museum
Museo Poldi Pezzoli in the centre of Milan, close to the Duomo Cathedral and the Scala Theatre, the Poldi Pezzoli Museum welcomes you! Opened in 1881, it was the house of the noble Milanese Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli (1822-1879). Avid art collector, he had gathered here paintings as well as sculptures, carpets, laces, arms and armour, jewellery, clocks, porcelain and glass.

The Augustinian Polyptych Reunited
On display, for the first time in history, eight panels from five international museums. In a unique and unrepeatable exhibition, at the Poldi Pezzoli Museum in Milan, with the support of Fondazione Bracco as Main Partner, a masterpiece by Piero della Francesca (1412-1492): the Augustinian Polyptych will be presented-for the first time in history, after 555 years since its creation.
